Where Spotify meets a 12" vinyl LP

When I think of Vinyl albums these days, at least if you're not a DJ, mostly I think of artists turning them into upcycled wall clocks.

Change the Record Loudspeaker on Cool Mom Tech

So I'm totally blown away by UK designer Paul Cocksedge's Change The Record loudspeaker made out of a record album. I spotted it at Fab this week and thought, whoa. If it works as great as reviews indicate, then it would make an amazing decorative piece that's actually useful for you audiophiles.

It's as simple as dropping your mobile phone in the funnel shaped speaker, and cranking up your favorite Spotify or iTunes playlist. The texture and hand-molded shape of the album are designed to enhance the sound output, all without wires, batteries, or Bluetooth. Nicely done! -Liz

Find the Change the Record loudspeaker shipping from the UK at the Paul Cocksedge Shop, or for a limited time at Fab.com - use our invitation link if you're not a member.
