Schoolhouse Rock comes through on Independence Day
Last night, my five year-old asked about why Independence Day and July 4th were on the same day. Pretty good question, I thought. And when I started to explain the meaning of Independence Day, I found myself more or less paraphrasing one of my favorite Schoolhouse Rock videos.

My kids have the video on pretty frequent play on
their approved list of videos using the Ducky Tube
app and have pledged to have it memorized by the end of the day. I wouldn't put it past them.
One warning - you'll get Rockin' and a rollin' splishin' and a splashin' over the horizon what can it be
