Pip and Posy come to life on your iPad, and preschoolers aren't complaining a bit.

If you have one at home, you know it's real.

A rabbit and mouse friend named Pip and Posy know it, too, which is probably why more than 200,000 copies of the Pip and Posy picture books have sold in twelve languages worldwide. And now there's an app for that, too.

 

Pip and Posy: Fun and Games is a fully interactive app with original (albeit cutesy) music that expands the books into an innovative collection of games and activities, including a jigsaw puzzle, a matching game, coloring book, spot the difference, card matching and more. Perfect for the toddler set.

Your kids' fingers become a paintbrush, pencil or crayon to color in scenes from the books and save them; while sound effects mimic the scritching/swishing/squeaky sounds each one makes when used on real paper. 

Pretty cool: flipping cards with a flick lets kids match pairs in sets of 8, 16, and 24 cards. And, if you have a device like an iPad with a front-facing camera, your kids can make faces to match illustrated ones that appear alongside.
