In a couple of weeks, I'll head to Brooklyn for the fourth annual Kindiefest kids' music conference. It's fun, enlightening, supportive, and---as you'd expect---full of great music from some of our favorite kids' performers. Frutero mixes Apple Brain's lo-fi, not-too-slick sound with bright Spanish horns in a part-English, part-Spanish homage to those push-cart vendors who make their way around sunny southern California selling all kinds of tropical fruit. It's also a great song to sing the next time you hit the produce section in the supermarket with the hopes of expanding the kids' palette beyond bananas. -Christina
