A back to school sale just for kids' apps

Back-to-School sales are in full swing which means I can stock up on winter sweaters, coats and boots, even if we won't need them for a few more months.

Even better is a great Back-to-School sale on some of our favorite apps for kids that we won't have to wait for the weather to change to use.

 

From now until Tuesday, September 7th, Ruckus Media Group is offering every one of their 15 iPad, iPhone and iTouch apps for $.99. It includes their excellent celeb-narrated storybook apps featuring Denzel Washington's John Henry, Robin Williams' Pecos Bill and Meryl Streep's reading of the Velveteen Rabbit.

In fact, it's a great time to grab Meryl Streep's Night Before for the holidays---they'll be here before you know it.

Preschoolers (and David A. Carter pop-up book fans) will adore their Spot the Dot game.  And older, eco-minded kids may enjoy the Rainforest Survival Challenge which looks like it packs a lot of information into a player-versus-computer survival game.
