Organizing the chaos. And the neverending artwork

AboutOne family organizerIf your fridge is anything like mine, it's covered from top to bottom in artwork. These kids are like little art factories, pumping out masterpieces by the dozen. With the 15 years of schooling ahead of me and many more fridge-worthy pieces to display, I'm thinking I need a new management system as opposed to just storing them in a manila folder.

Fortunately there's a new online service that can help with that and much more.

[don't miss a special offer after the jump]

AboutOne is a self-dubbed "family management system" that helps parents manage everything from precious memories to household information. Once you register for an account there are different tabs for information such as family members, relationships, health information, home records and more. The random data that you have scattered in drawers, folders and cabinets in your house can now be consolidated in a secure place online. And with a feature called "Printables," you can use templates to turn this information into a family newsletter, holiday card mailing list, tax returns, even college applications.

The digital scrapbook functionality is cool. You get an email account when you sign up and simply email any photo or video to yourself and add it to an ever growing online photo album that you can share with family and friends (which you'll soon be able to make into a hard copy album, which is planned for roll-out). And back to the artwork, you can scan your little ones' masterpieces and upload them right to the scrapbook.

Wait, does this mean I'll actually be able to see my fridge's door handles? - Jeana

AboutOne is offering a free 15-day trial. Pricing thereafter is either $5/month or $30/year but Cool Mom Tech readers save 20% off with COOLMOM.
