We've only had our iPad for a week now, and already my homeschooled daughter and I are reaping the benefits thanks to so many of the cool, educational games we've discovered. Some of which, like Math Bingo, can be a fantastic addition to what can be a pretty one dimensional curriculum. Homeschooler or not, I'm finding Math Bingo to be a creative and interactive way to help your kids enjoy doing math drills. Once your kiddo enters her name and chooses an avatar, level, and skill, she's asked to complete simple (or challenging) math equations. Answers are scattered around a Bingo board, with correct ones marked with a "Bingo Bug." And yes, you guessed it - five in row scores them a BINGO! earning them a bingo bug or two depending on speed.

My 6 year old loves this game and it has many levels so it becomes more challenging for them as their skills improve. Super 7 HD is another good pick, especially for littler kids - you have to connect moving shapes with numbers so they add up to 7 without going over. It was amazing to see her add so quickly in her head! We also play ArtPuzzles and ArtPuzzle HD together. ArtPuzzles let you do electronic puzzles (in bed) without the mess and having to sit upright. With ArtPuzzles HD, you unscramble major works of art which adds a culture spin on entertainment. Of course, we do have DoodleJump and AngryBird tournaments as well for when some good old fashioned fun is in order and my daughter's all-time favorite app is Pocket Frogs. Raising and breeding frogs has a magical hold on her and I get a kick at the audio -- they have totally captured the frog landing on a lily-pad sound!
Have fun! It's a great device!!

Thank you Kristen. I think my first grader needs this. My big kid loves Flash Tables...but it's for times tables. Needed something to help my little girl.
A better way to educate a child it to let them enjoy as they tackle lessons. An easy grip of the minds, this is what the apps is about. Really helpful for kids and for moms too. Mochala.com also offers readers apps for women.
Math bingo is an excellent way of teaching maths to kids! Makes it so much more funny!
